OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Turn Automatic Detector Check ON or OFF on a SYNAPT G2-Si or SYNAPT XS.

PROCEDURE

1. In the upper menu row of the Tune page, select View and activate the Extended View.
2. Automatic Detector Check is now available on the Instrument tab of the Tune page.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The automatic detector check has been designed for omics experiments. When enabled, a detector check is performed before each sample injection. The detector voltage is increased to compensate for a drop in sensitivity and ensure a stable response for the entire experiment. 

When turned ON, it can potentially increase the detector voltage too frequently and age the detector prematurely.
