Low sensitivity on TQ-XS with I-Class - WKB92953

SYMPTOMS

• Significantly lower sensitivity (to different degrees, depending on the analyte)
• Retention time shift
• Beam for setup solution looks fine
• High pressure difference for SM-FTN Readiness test (up to 2000 psi) or inconsistent results (pressure difference varies in subsequent tests). Pressure difference can also have negative value  = ca. -2600 psi)
• Pressure profile for sample syringe leak test is fronting and tailing (see figures below)
  
  Correct pressure profile should look like this:
  
• Changing position for injection valve from "Inject" to "Load" in interactive display (ACQUITY console) for SM-FTN causes back pressure to increase significantly (should be dropping)

CAUSE

Partially blocked seat port in SM-FTN

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the seat port and the seat port seal in the SM-FTN.
