How to turn off (stop the vacuum) the Xevo TQ-S micro - WKB86405

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

• In case of a power outage, stop the vacuum of Xevo TQ-S micro and power off

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-S micro
• Xevo TQ-XS

PROCEDURE

1. Open the Inlet Method screen and stop the LC flow.
2. Open the Tune page and open the MS Tune file with “Source Temp (° C)” set to about room temperature.
3. Turns off the Operate mode.
4. When the temperature of “Desolvation Temp(℃)” becomes 100 ℃ or less, stop the nitrogen gas flow and argon gas flow.
5.Gas ballast the rotary pump for at least one hour.
6. From the Tune page, select Vacuum > Vent.
The speed of the turbo pump gradually decreases, and the rotary pump also stops. (It takes about 10 minutes.)
7. After the rotary pump has stopped completely, close the Tune page and close all MassLynx related windows (remember to close the Console screen).
Then, turn off the PC.
8. Power off the LC system and the Xevo TQ S micro.
9. Power off the nitrogen gas generator.
