Xevo TQ MS has no beam on the tune page - WKB79579

SYMPTOMS

• Intensity of the Tune page is fluctuating so rapidly that it cannot be read
• Infusion parameters are set up correctly
• Flow is coming from the probe into the instrument

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ MS
• Xevo TQD
• Xevo TQ-S
• Xevo TQ-S micro
• Xevo TQ-XS

CAUSE

The Scan Time parameter is set too low, causing the instrument to fluctuate between channels too rapidly.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. On the MS Tune Page, select Setup.
2. Open Scope Parameters.
3. The default values should be set as follows:
   • Scan Time (s) = 0.1
   • Inter-scan Delay (s) = 0.02
4. Press OK.
