"Missing Instrument Configuration" error with Xevo TQ-XS - WKB74488

SYMPTOMS

• A "Missing Instrument Configuration" error appears on the MassLynx home page
• The status light is red

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-XS
• MassLynx

CAUSE

An improper reset or a "blip" in the power can cause this issue.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx.
2. Reboot PC and log in.
3. Reset the mass spectrometer.
4. Open MassLynx and verify that the error no longer appears.
