"Failed to reach Z bottom switch" error when swapping to MALDI mode with the SYNAPT G2-S - WKB73856

SYMPTOMS

• System works well in ESI mode, but after swapping to MALDI mode, the following error appears when trying to load a sample plate: "Failed to reach Z bottom switch"
• Hitting "unload" clears the error, but the error returns when you hit "load"hitting load

• SYNAPT G2-S

FIX or WORKAROUND

Power-cycle the electronics. Make sure that the electronics, EPC, and auxiliary breakers are turned on and off.
