SYMPTOMS

• Gradually decreased signal (as low as <50% of the initial level) is seen when successive injections of the same standard are performed on an ACQUITY UPLC system connected to Xevo TQ MS Detector
• The signal returns to the initial level after priming the SM

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC SM
• Xevo TQ MS

CAUSE

Non-pre-slit vials were used, resulting in gradually decreased signal in successive injections of the same vial.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Use pre-slit vials or other pre-slit sample containers.
