ANSWER

The following instruments use communications based on standard File Transfer Protocol or FTP (not WatersFileService) and need IIS installed and the micromass/analysis user account enabled and active on the PC:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

WatersFileService replaced FTP file transfers on current instruments. Legacy instruments did not use WatersFileService or WatersDHCP. They used FTP and IIS

Anything produced after and including the ACQUITY SQ Detector / ACQUITY TQ Detector / 3100 / Xevo instruments and SYNAPT 2 use modern dynamic boot sequences.
