Create an IMS .rul file for charge state stripping on Synapt.

ENVIRONMENT

• Synapt HDMS
• SYNAPT G2
• SYNAPT G2 MS/HDMS
• SYNAPT G2-S MS/HDMS
• SYNAPT G2-Si MS/HDMS
• SYNAPT G2-S
• SYNAPT G2-S

PROCEDURE

1. Acquire GFP IMS data.
2. Open in Driftscope.
3. Select, Use Region Selection tool to highlight 1+ cloud.
4. Then use Invert Selection tool to deselect the 1+ cloud.
5. Export the .rul file to MassLynx.
6. Open the IMS experiment file and add the .rul file to the Mobility section.
7.  Save the update.
