Poor Tof MRM sensitivity - WKB6335

SYMPTOMS

• Tof MRM experiment is less sensitive than an MSe experiment with the same compound

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo G2-XS
• SYNAPT G2-S
• SYNAPT G2-Si
• Tof MRM

CAUSE

The Tof MRM experiment is not set up properly. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

In the Tof MRM experiment:

1. Do not select RADAR.
2. Be sure to select Single Isotope or Isotope Cluster for the MRM window.

In the MRM Editor window:

1. Select a single collision energy (CE) if the best collision energy is known.
2. Set the Target Enhancement m/z for the main daughter ion of interest.
