CAUSE

Automatic detector gain control not enabled.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Enable automatic detector gain control.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A polarity switch did not restore the sensitivity.

The Automatic Detector Check software monitors and adjusts the detector voltage to maintain a steady detector gain when running ESI and nano-ESI experiments, and flags the need to run the detector setup.
