"Unhandled exception . . ." error on opening the camera window - WKB6233

SYMPTOMS

• Camera Viewer error: "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Device not found. The device DFG/USB2pro could not be opened."

• Clicking "Continue" opens the camera window for nanoSpray or MALDI, but there is no picture, just a blue square.

ENVIRONMENT

• Synapt G2-S MassLynx 4.1 nanoACQUITY UPLC MALDI ACQUITY M-Class UPLC.

CAUSE

The USB camera converter box was replaced, and its driver needs to be updated.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Configure the Camera Control application as shown below. Launch the camera application from the location C:\MassLynx\”Instrument Name”.

For example, C:\MassLynx\Fastnet\CameraControl.exe C:\MassLynx\BlueWater\CameraControl.exe.  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the unhandled exception error message appears when you try to open the CameraControl.exe program, click "Continue" and open the camera window. Select "Camera properties" and fill in the fields as shown above.
