SYMPTOMS

• Opened in Notepad, the ESI_NaICs_Pos.ref file doesn't show how much sodium to add:
• There is note that use with automatic calibration is not recommended, but no reason is given

FIX or WORKAROUND

Use the recipe as given for makeup of the API Calibration solution (700001593), which contains 2 µg/uL of sodium iodide and 50 ng/uL of cesium iodide in 50:50 propan-2-ol/water.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Automatic calibrations are not recommended because the software can match the wrong peak. It is better to verify the peak matching process.
