Xevo TQ-S readbacks are 0 - WKB61868

SYMPTOMS

• All Tune page readbacks are 0 (see additional info for image)
• Source parameter settings are all set to 50 (see additional info for image)
• When opening MassLynx, a number of errors are reported:
  • Failed to generate recurring status
  • Failed to generate recurring readbacks
  • Could not connect to Vacuum control
• EPC can be pinged successfully
• MassLynx states instrument present
• Reboot of the TQ-S does not resolve issue
• Monitoring the bootup script in hyperterminal shows a number of File sync errors; files then sync ok from local copy

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-S
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

VxWorks folder is not present in the main Masslynx folder (in this case C:Masslynx).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Locate the VxWorks folder on the PC.
2. Transfer the VxWorks folder into the main Masslynx folder.
3. Reboot the TQ-S.
4. Open MassLynx and ensure that all readbacks and settings are now as expected.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The main directory of MassLynx may be different depending on which drive it was installed on. Please check your specific instrument.
