Corrupted host file
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Power-down ACQUITY system.
- Remove all instrument modules from Waters DHCP server configuration.
- Power-on sample manager or column manager, wherever the Ethernet hub is located.
- Confirm that sample manager/column manager populates DHCP.
- Power-on additional ACQUITY modules one by one if required, ensuring that they populate in DHCP.
- Reboot MS using reset button. Wait about five minutes for the MS to populate DHCP (IP address, type, and name).
- Check that the host file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) has the correct EPC listed at IP address listed in DHCP. Modify as required.
- Launch MassLynx. Check console for all modules of ACQUITY stack and applicable MS.
