What are the environmental vibration specifications for Waters QTof and Quadrupole instruments? - WKB5128
ENVIRONMENT
- All Waters QTof and Quadrupole instruments
ANSWER
Waters has not vibration-tested its mass spectroscopy products, so we cannot specify a vibration environment based on test data. However, for Tof-based products, we are reasonably confident that a "VC-A" vibration environment (velocity up to 50 µm/s) is sufficient to meet specified analytical performance, so there would be no problem installing products in a "VC-B" vibration environment (velocity up to 25 µm/s).
For Quadrupole based products we are reasonably confident that an "ISO Operating Theatre" (velocity up to 100 um/s) vibration environment will be sufficient to meet specified analytical performance and so there would be no problem installing in a "VC-A" vibration environment (velocity up to 50 um/s).
