Intermittent communications dropout on Xevo TQ-XS - WKB30889

SYMPTOMS

  • System is not able to perform any MS/MS, and then communication is lost
  • MassLynx displays the error message “Application Lancaster has encountered a problem and needs to close”
  • Rebooting the host PC does not fix the problem
  • Hard rebooting of the MS (this sometimes needs to be done several times) temporarily fixes the fault

  • Xevo TQ-XS

CAUSE

 

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the EPC (700011219) and internal and external Ethernet (RJ45) cables.
