MS roughing pump does not start - WKB29777

SYMPTOMS

• Roughing pump does not start when pump command is sent from the MS tune page

ENVIRONMENT

• MS systems

CAUSE

Power cable from outlet to roughing pump is disconnected or loose, no power at mains socket, or breaker is tripped/fuse is blown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Confirm power cable is connected properly at both ends
2. Have a qualified electrician check the voltage at the socket, and check (and replace if necessary) the fuse or breaker for the socket.
3. Once power issues are resolved, restart the instrument vacuum system via the tune page vacuum menu.
