CAUSE

Solvent purity/contamination problem

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use solvents and additives known to be clean.
2. Run a number of injections to clean impurities from the system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The solvent/additive mixture should be renewed as often as possible to avoid loss of system performance due to potential pH changes, auto-oxidative, and/or photolytic degradation within the solvent bottle.
