No Xevo QTof beam after a fresh install of MassLynx on a new PC - WKB22645

SYMPTOMS

• No beam
• Instrument responds (API gas turns on, baffle turns, can go into Operate)

ENVIRONMENT

CAUSE

The factory settings need to be imported.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. On the tune page, go into system view (setup drop-down menu > system view). The password is access.
2. Select the File drop-down menu and select Factory Defaults Import or Load System Settings (from EPC).
3. If there is still no beam, increase the detector V in steps of 50 V (System drop-down menu > auto values > Detector V), and select update. If the previous detector V is known, set it to that voltage.
