Analyzer vacuum failure on Xevo TQ-S, although all three turbo pumps are running at 100% - WKB224902

SYMPTOMS

  • Analyzer vacuum failure error message
  • All three turbo pumps show 100% on the Diagnostics tab of the Tune page
  • Message regarding high vacuum trip is seen when trying to go into Operate
  • On the Vacuum menu of the Tune page, the options include Cancel Pump

ENVIRONMENT

  • Xevo TQ-S

CAUSE

Communication issue

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Close MassLynx.
  2. Restart the MassLynx workstation.
  3. Log in to Windows but do not start MassLynx yet.
  4. Reset the instrument electronics using the toggle switches on the back of the Xevo TQ-S:
    • Toggle the Vacuum Override (top) switch down. (Note: when toggling these switches, you must pull them toward you, then toggle.)
    • Toggle the Electronics switch (bottom) down, Wait for the fans to stop.
    • Toggle the Electronics switch back up. Wait for the fans to slow down to their normal speed.
    • Toggle the Vacuum Override switch up.
  5. Open MassLynx.
