Method events does not work on Xevo instruments running on MassLynx - WKB21632

SYMPTOMS

With method events enabled, the tabled events fail to function.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Xevo TQ Absolute
• Xevo TQ Absolute XR
• Xevo TQ MS
• Xevo TQ-S
• Xevo TQ-XS
• Xevo TQ-S micro

CAUSE

Software.

FIX or WORKAROUND

• Avoid having method events at the time 0.00, as then they might not occur.
• Method event set to happen after or at the same time as the last function stops (= total runtime), then it will not occur. Always make sure that there are some time between the method event, so it can happen before the end of the run time.
• Do not stack method events at the same time increment. Keep events at separe times to allow them to happen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It is good to have at least one function (for example a MRM) active at the time when any method events are set to happen.
