Xevo TQD positive and negative instrument resolution invalid - WKB21312

SYMPTOMS

• Error message appears in console after starting the Sample tune and Develop Method in Quantitative mode

CAUSE

The type of Analysis Quantitative is missing Resolution and Calibration setup.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Perform instrument setup for Quantitative:

1. Infuse NaICs through fluidics system into the ion source.
2. On Set up IntelliStart Resolution and Calibration tab, select Quantitative from the "type of Analysis" drop-down list, select NaICs as Positive and Negative reference, set the correct integrated bottle (A or B), and select Start.
3. Ensure that the procedure completes successfully (two green check marks in the instrument Set-up icons).

The instrument is ready to Sample tune and Develop method through IntelliStart.

It is very important to shake the setup solution very well and to purge the fluidics four times before running Resolution and Calibration setup.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This same error may arise for any of the four analysis types, depending on what was selected and which Resolution and Calibration setup was run.

The four analysis types are Unit Mass Resolution, Quantitative Resolution, Low Mass Resolution, and High Mass Resolution.
