Weak and or no signal from Lockspray on tune page - WKB21104

SYMPTOMS

• Lockspray shows very weak/no signal
• The Lockspray baffle is in the correct position
• The analyte sprayer does generate ions
• Fluidics is delivering Lockspray solution to the Lockspray inlet flange

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo QToF
• Xevo G2 QToF
• Xevo G2-S ToF
• Xevo G2-XS ToF
• SYNAPT G2-Si
• Vion

CAUSE

The Lockspray capillary is bent or blocked.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the Lockspray capillary.
2. Verify that ions can be seen when infusing Lockspray solution.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This also happens when the LockSpray capillary tip protrudes too far out.

Replace lockspray assembly (700004588) if replacing capillary doesn't resolve.

Probe tip can be adjusted and purging of fluidics is recommended.
