No communications with Vion; "Connecting to instrument" warning message - WKB206714

SYMPTOMS
- Error message: "Connecting to instrument"
- All settings are grayed out (unavailable)
- Instrument status is "blocked" on the Vion summary tab
ENVIRONMENT
- UNIFI Workstation
- UNIFI Network
- UNIFI 1.9.4
- Vion 3.1 Driver
- Vion IMS QTof
CAUSE
Unknown cause, but leaving the Tune page open when acquiring data may result in this situation.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Go to Administration > Device Management, right-click on the workstation/LND, and then select "Reset Device".
- Wait for the workstation/LND to go back online (about 2 min).
- Go to My Work > Instrument system. Vion is now in a usable, "Idle" status.
- Instruments may require a reboot if in an error state.
