PROCEDURE
- To calculate the heat dissipation of your MS instrument, consult the power requirements section of your instrument's site prep guide and record the maximum power consumption of all necessary components. This will differ depending on pumping configuration. When reporting the heat dissipation we work on a worst case scenario and assume that the total power consumed is converted to heat. Add together the total power consumption of the MS and backing pumps. This gives you the heat dissipation value in Watts. In documents where this value is reported in VA, Volt-Amperes, 1 VA = 1 W.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1 Watt = 3.412142 BTU/hr
