CCS calibration with Major Mix fails on SYNAPT G2-Si - WKB201875

SYMPTOMS

• CCS calibration with Major Mix fails or gives poor peak match for mass ranges 1200 and 2000 m/z in positive and negative polarities

ENVIRONMENT

• SYNAPT G2-Si

CAUSE

The reference file for CCS calibration with Major Mix is incorrect. In the CCS reference file, the relative intensity for Major Mix peaks is set to 100 for all masses (as shown here).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the faulty reference file and replace it with the correct reference files.
2. The Major Mix CCS reference files for Positive and Negative modes are attached to this article.
