CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Set the Xevo TQD to Standby and turn off the API gas.
  2. Disconnect the sample probe HV cable.
  3. Reseat the probe in the source enclosure and reconnect the sample probe HV cable.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The power supplies are designed to switch off if they register a certain number of spikes per second  Or the capillary is too close to the cone. 

This can be reset by going to Operate > Standby > Operate and seeing if the capillary voltage returns. 

If it does, it's then a case of monitoring to see if it was a one-off or a problem elsewhere.
