SYMPTOMS

• Drop in sensitivity after switching to a new assay
• Drop in sensitivity after switching source enclosure
• No issues found in LC delivery

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQD
• Xevo TQ-S micro

CAUSE

The probe must be re-aligned for the new assay.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Infuse a known standard.
2. Adjust the length of the capillary, the tilt, and the angle of the probe to maximize signal.
