How to reset Typhoon communications with Vion IMS QTof - WKB1901

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Reset Typhoon communications with Vion when it is unresponsive (i.e., non-storage display is not updating).

ENVIRONMENT

• Vion IMS QTof
• UNIFI 1.8

PROCEDURE

There are two ways to reset Typhoon communications with Vion:

1)

• In UNIFI, go to either the Instrument System or the Analysis tab.
• Bring up the "Instrument System Status" panel (green check mark icon at the bottom-right of the screen).
• Click the Vion IMS QTof drop-down tab.
• Click Reset instrument.

2)

• In UNIFI, go to Instrument System.
• In the Console Navigation panel, select "Vion IMS QTof" in the "System" menu.
• Select "Setup" in the "Vion IMS QTof" menu.
• Select "Reset Instrument" in the "Setup" menu.
