ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector "turbo power too low" - WKB15077

SYMPTOMS

• Error message "Turbo power low" in console

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Detector
• RADIAN ASAP Direct Mass Detector

CAUSE

A blockage in the source aperture disk results in less power for vacuum and therefore low turbo power.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the aperture disk assembly.

Part numbers for aperture disk:

• 700009768 for Performance QDa
• 700009769 for Standard QDa

This type of error is often related to a "critical readback error: voltage out of range" message in the console. In addition to low turbo power, the critical readback checks can show "impactor voltage" (calibration pin voltage) out of range, often caused by the a blockage in the aperture disk.
