Source turbo does not reach 100% on QToF; instrument vents - WKB13617

SYMPTOMS

• Source turbo reaches only 92%
• Vacuum is fine if the isolation valve is closed
• Backing pressure is high, roughly 4-5 e0
• Instrument vents when isolation valve is opened

ENVIRONMENT

CAUSE

The wrong cone is installed.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the cone, and pull it out of the sample cone cover.
2. Verify that the correct engineering code is imprinted on the cone. Refer to the table below in Additional Information. If not, it is the wrong cone.
3. Replace with the proper cone.
