SYMPTOMS

• Low sensitivity when running injections or infusing sample

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQD

CAUSE

The capillary voltage readback does not match the set capillary voltage.

Putting the system in Standby drops the capillary readback to 0 kV.

The electronics are not controlling the capillary PSU normally; other user-adjustable voltages can be controlled normally.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx and reboot the EPC using either telnet or the reset switch, which is just to the right of the power switch on the front panel.
2. After the EPC reboots (wait approximately 2 minutes), start MassLynx and verify that the capillary voltage readback is now correct and matches the set capillary voltage.
