CAUSE

The capillary voltage is too high and/or the capillary tip or sample cone is dirty.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Decrease capillary voltage.
  2. Clean up the capillary tip or sample cone.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Discharged capillary voltage can lead to malfunction of the high-voltage power supply.
