The PEEK ferrule is stuck in the valve - WKB10632

SYMPTOMS

• Removed the line from the valve, but the ferrule is still stuck inside the valve
• Fishing out the ferrule with PEEK tubing doesn't work

ENVIRONMENT

• Mass spectrometer
• ACQUITY

CAUSE

The ferrule is jammed into the valve port.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver about the size of the PEEK tubing.
2. Push the screwdriver into the hole in the PEEK ferrule.
3. Once lodged, turn and pull the ferrule out.
