Poor mass accuracy on Xevo G2 Tof data - WKB10191

SYMPTOMS

• 10 to 50 ppm mass accuracy on nicely resolved data that has the lockmass applied after acquisition

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• Xevo G2 Qtof
• Xevo G2-S

CAUSE

Data is not centered properly. For G2 data, you must use automatic peak processing. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. In the Spectrum window, select Process > Automatic Peak Detection.

2. Ensure that settings match the following, and set the correct Lock Mass species.
