OBJECTIVE or GOAL

To start an ACQUITY system after long-term storage.

ENVIRONMENT

ACQUITY UPLC

PROCEDURE

Video below

1. Plug in all electrical connections.
2. Power-on PC.
3. Power-on instruments, starting with the ACQUITY Sample Manager.
4. Establish communications.
5. Put all solvent lines in 100% water.
6. Prime the BSM seal wash.
7. Prime the BSM A and B pumps.
8. Prime SM wash and sample syringes.
9. Bypass column with a union.
10. Flush the system with 100% water.
11. Make up new solvents for running samples.
12. Prime the BSM seal wash.
13. Prime the BSM A and B pumps.
14. Prime the SM wash and sample syringes with new solvents.
15. Install the column.
16. Disconnect the flow cell or MS.
17. Flush the system with 50/50 A/B organic/water.
18. Connect the flow cell or MS.
