Programmed timed events for 2487 TUV Detector do not work - WKB9634

SYMPTOMS

• Timed events are programmed in instrument method of 2487
• These timed events do not occur

ENVIRONMENT

• 2487 TUV Detector
• Empower 3

CAUSE

There is an internal timer on the 2487 that begins counting at the first inject start signal it receives after being powered-on. This timer has a maximum time of 48 days. When it reaches the maximum time of 48 days, timed events stop working. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

Reboot the detector.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The internal timer is reset every time the 2487 is rebooted. Reboot the detector at least once a week.
