SYMPTOMS

• Error: "Organizer Z drive has lost steps during plate transfer. Remove plate."
• Y shuttle arm positioned above plate in sample manager
• "Organizer configuration modified" errors occasionally occur at the same time     

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY Common Platform Sample Organizer

CAUSE

The Sample Organizer door is not properly closed. Either waste tubing is obstructing the door or one of the door latches was closed while the door was open.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. If a door latch was closed while the door was open, use a spanner to open the closed door latch.
2. Make sure that the door latch now functions properly and that the door is properly closed.
3. Confirm that all positions can now be accessed without error.
