SYMPTOMS

• Noisy and sloping baseline
• Dynamic leak test (to column end point, including the needle and seal) fails
• Dynamic leak test (to column end point, excluding the needle and seal) passes

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-class Sample Manager - FTN
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class Sample Manager - FTN
• ACQUITY APC Sample Manager - FTN
• ACQUITY Arc Sample Manager FTN-R

CAUSE

Excessive leak on the extension loop.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace extension loop (What are the part numbers for H-Class Sample Manager Flow Through Needle extension loops? - WKB6746)
2. Verify dynamic leak test (to column end point, including the needle and seal) now passes
