SYMPTOMS
- In Waters DHCP, instrument populates with IP address, MAC address, Type, and Serial Number
- In Node Properties, on the Instrument tab, the status for the 2998 in the Status OK column shows NO
- Pinging the IP address returns a reply
- Instrument panel shows as OFF in instrument panel of Run Samples
ENVIRONMENT

- Empower 3 Enterprise
CAUSE
The Instrument Control Software (ICS) is corrupt
FIX or WORKAROUND
Run the Deployment Manager for the applicable driver pack
Choose Repair to fix the ICS for the instrument
