How to convert from single pump trapping to direct injection on an ACQUITY UPLC M-Class - WKB8184

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Convert from single pump trapping to direct injection.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC M-Class
• MassLynx 4.1
• ionKey source

PROCEDURE

1. Prepare the currently installed trap column for long-term storage (see the column's care and use manual).
2. On the sample manager, find where tubing T3 (430004366) is and disconnect it.
3. On the trap valve manager, find where tubing T2 (43004188) at port 6 is and disconnect it.
4. Move this end of T2 and attach it directly to where T3 was on the sample manager.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Be sure to adjust the inlet method mode from trapping to direct injection.
