2695 Alliance syringe aspirate movement is very slow during injection routine - WKB81143

SYMPTOMS

  • Syringe aspirate movement (pulling down) is at a very slow rate when withdrawing sample from the vial position
  • Syringe dispense movement (pushing up) is at its typical rate
  • Purge injector functions as expected
  • No errors observed
  • Making 50-µL injections using standard 250-µL syringe
  • 2695 is run manually with method; sample set and injections are controlled from the local front panel of the module 
  • No recent changes to the instrument configuration
  • No recent changes to local module methods

  • Alliance HPLC System
  • 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Power-down the Alliance.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Power-on the Alliance and confirm that it completes its initialization routine without error to reach an Idle state.
  4. Load local instrument method.
  5. Confirm that the system is equilibrated.
  6. Repeat local control injections and verify that the syringe aspirate moves at typical rate.
