Agilent A1100 LC causes instrument failure - WKB7978

SYMPTOMS

• On the Instruments tab, in node properties, the A1100 is listed as NO in the OK? column
• Instrument Failure error when setting up an instrument method
• IP address manually added to the DHCP

ENVIRONMENT

  • G1316A Thermostatted Column Compartment
  • G1365B Multi-Wavelength Detector (MWD)
  • G1846A (JetDirect 400N J4100A) network card

• Agilent LC Instrument Control Software version 1.06

CAUSE

Bad Agilent G1846A (JetDirect 400N J4100A) network card

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the Agilent G1846A (JetDirect 400N J4100A) network card.
