SYMPTOMS

• Area counts are different on an Alliance 2695 HPLC with 2996 detector and an Alliance 2695 HPLC with 2998 detector when using the same column, mobile phase, and sample
• Peak shape is comparable
• RT is the same
• Values are reproducible

ENVIRONMENT

• 2996 Photodiode Array (PDA) Detector
• 2998 Photodiode Array (PDA) Detector
• Alliance 2695 HPLC System

CAUSE

The 2998 has an Autopurification Flow Cell [205000402] installed versus the Analytical Flow Cell Kit [205000399].

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Install the Analytical Flow Cell Kit [205000399].
2. Rerun the sample.
