High pressure on ACQUITY UPLC with CM-A - WKB76862

SYMPTOMS

• High pressure readback on instrument console
• Higher than expected pressure when column disconnected
• Pressure drops when tubing between the Sample Manager injector outlet and the Column Manager inlet is removed

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class

CAUSE

Blockage in the tubing between the Sample Manager injector outlet and the Column Manager inlet

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace capillary from Sample Manager to Column Manager

For I-Class use part number 700008869 - Welded Tube Assy, .003 ID x 14.5 long

For H-Class use part number 700005476 - Welded Tube Assy, .004 ID x 14.5 long
