SYMPTOMS

• Chromatogram shows merged peaks as opposed to individual peaks

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Bio
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio
• ACQUITY UPLC FLR Detector

CAUSE

The active preheater is set to active, disabled.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Set the active preheater to active.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Console > Sample manager/column manager > Configure > Preheaters > [choose "active"]

Also ensure that the instrument method states either "console" or "active".
