Air bubbles in the sample syringe of an ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager and UPLC H-Class FTN - WKB5880

SYMPTOMS

• Air bubbles in the sample syringe
• Lost of sensitivity

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class FTN

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Ensure that there is adequate weak wash/purge solvent in the reservoir.
2. Prime the sample syringe from the ACQUITY Console. (Move on to step 3 if priming doesn't resolve the issue.)
3. Replace the sample syringe and re-prime (if bubbles still remain move to step 4.)
4. Disconnect the line coming from the valve manifold feeding the sample syringe.
   1.  Place the line in a vial of weak wash and prime syringe, if the sample syring primes up you have a faulty valve manifold, replace with part #700010171.
