Leak test fails with 2545 BGM - WKB54311

SYMPTOMS

• 2545 system pressure varies by several hundred psi per minute
• When priming, the solvent changes speed as it moves through the inlet tubing (air bubble is seen)
• Leak test fails with "failed to compress" error

ENVIRONMENT

• 2525/2545 Binary Gradient Module

CAUSE

The tubing from the solvent select valve to the inlet check valve has become twisted over time, restricting the flow of solvent to the pump heads.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the tubing (700001487 - Tubing, Solvent Select Valve to Head).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The tubing has a protective sheath, so any twisting can be difficult to see at first glance. Slightly unravel the sheath to view the tubing.
