Actual flow rate is double or half the set flow rate on the 1525 - WKB4537

SYMPTOMS

• Pumping a much higher flow rate than normal
• Measuring flow rate shows it is double set flow rate

ENVIRONMENT

• 1525 Binary HPLC Pump
• Empower
• Breeze 2

CAUSE

Extended pump heads in use, but absent from configuration in software

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open Configure the system if using Empower 
2. Click Nodes and right-click your node.
3. Choose Properties.
4. Click the Instruments tab.
5. Find the line item for your 15XX pump and the column "Optional pump head".
6. From the drop-down menu, select EF.

If you are using Breeze

1. Click on Manage
2. Click Systems
3. Click Node Properties 
4. Click the Instruments tab.
5. Find the line item for your 15XX pump and the column "Optional pump head".
6. From the drop-down menu, select EF

NOTE: The opposite effect occurs if the customer has the µflow heads in use but left out of instrument configuration.  They will experience a significantly lower flow rate than what is set. Select micro(µ) from the drop-down menu in step 6
